Celebrate Earth Day with BUFCO

April 19, 2025

Special Guest: Crooked Farmz

It’s tea time in your garden.

Sean of Crooked Farmz, head proprietor and brewer of Compost Teas will be at our opening market to talk microbial soil health, living probiotics, and using compost tea in your gardens and backyard farms. He’ll be bringing his first compost tea of the season, MYCO, which helps build soil structure and is ideal for seedlings and transplants.

Celebrate Earth Month with BUFCO and Sean who is a three-time winner in the Innovation category at the Best in GrowTO urban agriculture competition for various composting projects. He is a Certified Compost Facility Operator with the Compost Council of Canada. He grows at Downsview Park as part of the Many Hands Urban Farm Collective.

Organically Grown Seedlings

All BUFCO gardens start with seedlings grown organically and locally by our own Organic Master Gardeners. Our seedlings come hardened off and are organically grown using Jocelyn’s Soil Booster, Non-GMO–Certified Organic, where possible–seed from suppliers who have taken the Safe Seed Pledge, and lots and lots of love.

Please check back for a list of selections a day before the market. Come and shop, no pre-ordering necessary!
