Prerequisite: Vegetable Garden Planning I

Garden plans come in all shapes and sizes, from a rough, hand-drawn sketch to detailed computer generated drawings of entire landscapes. No matter how simple or elaborate, a planting plan will help determine what to plant, where, when, and how much. This then informs what garden inputs to purchase, and becomes an important reference in following years. Using the crop list we created in Garden Planning Part 1 along with a sample layout of three vegetable garden beds, participants learn how to create a planting plan that incorporates crop rotation, companion planting, and succession planting. The end result is a detailed planting schedule with a complete plant and seed list. Participants will have an opportunity to get feedback on planting plans for their own gardens and have plenty of time to ask questions.

Garden Planning Part 1 is a prerequisite for Garden Planning 2. Please sign up for Part 1 and Part 2 at the same time.
